Rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Paris during the early hours of a Friday morning after an altercation with a security guard outside the George V hotel. The police were called to the hotel due to the rapper’s violent behavior towards the guard. Reports indicated that the guard had intervened to separate Scott from his bodyguard, leading to the conflict.
A representative for Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, confirmed the arrest and mentioned being in direct communication with local Parisian authorities to resolve the matter swiftly. Melissa Nathan, the representative, stated that updates would be provided as appropriate. This incident adds to a series of recent legal troubles for the rapper.
Sources close to the incident suggested that Scott was heavily intoxicated and agitated, refusing to cooperate with a breath test. The altercation reportedly occurred after Scott was swarmed by paparazzi, leading to harassment as he entered the hotel. Despite the commotion, no injuries were reported, and Scott has not been charged with any offenses at the time.
This arrest in Paris comes less than two months after Scott was arrested in Miami for disorderly intoxication and trespassing. In that incident, he had a dispute with a boat crew on a chartered yacht. Scott was released on bond after paying fines for the charges. Currently, the rapper is in the middle of his Circus Maximus Tour, with upcoming stops in Latin America, New Zealand, Australia, and a return to the U.S. for a show in Las Vegas.
Footage shared on social networks depicted Scott being chased by paparazzi and surrounded by fans after attending a basketball match. The rapper sought help from the police as crowds gathered around him. Earlier in the night, Scott had expressed excitement about the basketball game on his social media accounts, describing it as “f**king wildddddd.” Amidst the legal troubles and public attention, Scott’s fans have been reacting to the incident online.
