Gurinder Chadha, known for directing the hit film Bend It Like Beckham, is now diving into a new project titled Christmas Karma. This contemporary Bollywood musical is set in London and takes inspiration from Charles Dickens’ iconic tale, A Christmas Carol.
The ensemble cast of Christmas Karma is nothing short of extraordinary. Kunal Nayyar, famous for his role in The Big Bang Theory, is set to play the lead role of Scrooge. Joining him are renowned talents such as Eva Longoria, Boy George, Billy Porter, and Hugh Bonneville, just to name a few.
Gurinder Chadha not only wrote the screenplay for Christmas Karma but is also taking on the roles of producer and director. Financing for Christmas Karma comes from Civic Studios, with a team of producers including Chadha herself, Celine Rattray, Trudie Styler, and Amory Leader. Additionally, the film is the fifth project from True Brit Entertainment, a British distributor established in 2023.
