Apart from working on his book, Ferrara is gearing up to shoot his next feature film titled “American Nails.” The film, described as a “gangster film,” will star Willem Dafoe and Asia Argento, with Argento playing the character of Phaedra. Set in the southern Italy town of Bari, shooting for “American Nails” is scheduled to commence in September. Ferrara, known for his neo-noir style, has a diverse filmography that includes cult classics like The Driller Killer, King Of New York, and Bad Lieutenant.
In a candid conversation with Deadline, Ferrara shared his thoughts on modern technology and the evolving landscape of filmmaking.
