Jessica Wright, a former TOWIE star, recently took to social media to share the devastating news of her two-year-old son Presley’s diagnosis with a rare heart condition. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Bank Holiday Monday, Jessica revealed that Presley has been diagnosed with a congenital heart disease called “bicuspid aortic valve”, which will require him to undergo multiple open-heart surgeries throughout his life.
The condition that Presley has been diagnosed with affects only a small percentage of the population, with Jessica mentioning that it impacts how blood flows from the heart to the rest of the body. Unlike most people who have three leaflets in their aortic valve, Presley only has two, leading to the need for frequent monitoring and medical care. Jessica expressed her apprehension in sharing the news but emphasized the importance of raising awareness about such conditions.
Admitting the reality of her son’s diagnosis, Jessica revealed that Presley will require intervention through open-heart surgery at least twice in his life.
