With an impressive $27.1M in 60 overseas markets, the film has now reached a worldwide total of $152.2M. The international box office cume stands at $100.7M, with notable success in markets such as China, Australia, and Indonesia.
In China, Alcon teamed up with Stars Collective to distribute the film through China Film Group and Alibaba Pictures, resulting in a strong opening weekend of $8.2M. The film has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of other animated hits such as Puss In Boots: The Last Wish and Migration in just two days. With new markets like Poland, Australia, and Indonesia showing strong numbers, The Garfield Movie is proving to be a worldwide hit.

20th Century/Disney’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes continues to impress with just a 28% drop from the previous weekend, bringing its international total to $197.1M. Paramount’s IF has also performed well with $11M in earnings from 69 markets, contributing to a global box office total of $138M. With upcoming releases in Japan and China, the film is expected to continue its strong performance.
